Youjung (You-jung) Choi is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology working with Dr. Spelke (Laboratory for Developmental Studies) at Harvard University. Before coming to Harvard, she was a postdoctoral associate at Yale University working with Drs. Karen Wynn (Infant Cognition Center), Yarrow Dunham (Social Cognition Development Lab), and Laurie Santos (Canine Cognition Center). She obtained her Ph.D. in 2015 from the Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Missouri under the guidance of Dr. Yuyan Luo (Infant Cognition Lab).
She studies social cognitive development in infants and young children. Her research focuses, first, on how individuals understand others’ minds, and second, on how this understanding and other social capacities (e.g., moral understanding, intergroup cognition, language comprehension) play a role in interpreting social interactions.
